From the maker of the sophisticated digitalized film Waking Life, the umpteenth movie based on Philip K. Dick's short pulp fiction: A Scanner Darkly. No doubt the title is a technological / sci-fi take on Paul's words from the First Epistle to the Corinthians, Chapter 13, Verse 12.

That Pauline metaphor has unfortunately become something of a cliché because of overuse. It seems almost every writer cultivating a prophetic or forethinking stance invokes it as a matter of course. I, however, would still like to see it used to progress a study of alcoholic writers.
